I am Satheesh Gurusamy, a Senior Data & Analytics Lead based in Tunbridge Wells, UK, with over 14 years of experience delivering business intelligence, data engineering, customer analytics, marketing analytics, and CRM-driven customer communication solutions across financial services, insurance, retail, and digital businesses.
My expertise spans designing scalable data platforms, developing robust data pipelines, building modern data warehouses, and delivering analytics and reporting solutions that enable organisations to make informed, data-driven decisions. I work extensively with SQL Server, Python, Power BI (DAX), Azure Data Services, Snowflake, and dbt to transform complex data into actionable business insights.
I have extensive experience across both the Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) and modern cloud-based data platforms, including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Snowflake, and dbt. My focus is on creating scalable, well-structured, and analytics-ready data solutions that support business growth and operational efficiency.
Alongside data engineering and analytics, I bring strong expertise in CRM, customer, and marketing analytics, supporting campaign automation, customer journeys, audience segmentation, and performance measurement using Adobe Campaign Classic, Ometria, and Pure360 (now Spotler).
Originally from Tamil Nadu, India, I moved to the UK to study at Aberdeen Business School, University of Aberdeen, where I completed my MBA. I also hold a Master’s degree in Information Technology.
Outside of work, I enjoy exploring emerging technologies, reading, and long drives. I live in Tunbridge Wells with my wife and two daughters.
